Big Soft World

Big Soft World is a RACC funded project which is a pop-up interactive art experience to surprise and delight people of all ages, with a goal of engaging families in their community or downtown. The experience will be called Big, Soft World Pop-Up Art Park: A Place for wonder.
There are four key elements to this experience:

1.) Giant inflatable figures that invite play and movement, including a sea monster-style character that also features giant inflated archways for visitors to pass under, and smaller inflatable flowers that dot the landscape inviting exploration.

2.) Soft, grounded lounging areas made of foam and fabric that invite relaxation and rest, encourage full body movement such as safe climbing, rolling, and jumping from spot to spot.

3.) A Little Worlds column that features colorful walls in which are nestled dioramas that allow different types of interaction, including some that light up, some that make sound, and some that allow touch.

4.) A Sensory Wall that features a collection of colorful, varying textures, including glass, furry fabric, and recycled materials.

These four aspects unite to make a world that sparks wonder and brings people of all sizes to see the world in surprising ways, through multiple senses.
